The Technology Development Board (TDB) has signed an agreement with InfinityX Innovations for automated battery swapping infrastructure, marking a significant leap for electric vehicles in Telangana. This project aims to enhance the efficiency of electric mobility operations by developing automated, IoT-enabled battery swapping stations.

The new battery swapping technology enables a complete battery swap in under 40 seconds, making electric vehicle energy replenishment comparable to conventional refueling methods. “Reducing battery transition time to under 40 seconds makes EV energy replenishment comparable to conventional refueling,” said the CEO and Founder of InfinityX Innovations.

This initiative is expected to contribute to the development of a standardized and interoperable battery swapping network across India. Observers note that such advancements are critical for the growth of the country’s electric mobility ecosystem. “Accelerating the deployment of efficient and scalable charging alternatives is critical for the growth of India’s electric mobility ecosystem,” stated Shri Rajesh Kumar Pathak, Secretary of TDB.
