“Mission Karmayogi is a flagship initiative of the government to create a future-ready civil service, aligned with the vision of efficient, transparent and citizen-centric governance,” said Dr. Alka Mittal, highlighting the importance of the program.

Launched on November 2, 2023, in New Delhi, the Karmayogi initiative will host a week-long Sadhna Saptah. This event is organized by the Department of Personnel and Training, the Capacity Building Commission, and Karmayogi Bharat.

Mission Karmayogi, introduced in 2020, aims to enhance the capacity, performance, and efficiency of civil servants nationwide. It focuses on bridging the gap in governance skills among professionals transitioning from scientific and academic backgrounds.

As part of this initiative, Sadhna Saptah emphasizes critical competencies such as leadership, effective communication, and digital governance. The program is structured around three guiding principles: Technology, Tradition, and Tangible Outcomes.

The initiative also introduces iGOT Karmayogi, a digital learning platform designed for government officials to foster skill enhancement and self-development.

“Sādhana stands for Strengthening Adaptive Development and Humane Aptitude for National Advancement,” said a representative, underlining the program’s focus on developing a capable workforce.

With a goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047, the initiative aims to equip public officials with the competencies required for efficient, citizen-centric administration.

The Capacity Building Commission will play a crucial role as a coordinating and regulatory body, ensuring the success of this ambitious program.

As the Sadhna Saptah unfolds, further developments are expected to enhance the culture of capacity building among civil servants across India.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding specific activities planned for the week.

Telangana's government partners with InfinityX Innovations to launch automated battery swapping stations, revolutionizing electric vehicles in the region.

The Technology Development Board (TDB) has signed an agreement with InfinityX Innovations for automated battery swapping infrastructure, marking a significant leap for electric vehicles in Telangana. This project aims to enhance the efficiency of electric mobility operations by developing automated, IoT-enabled battery swapping stations.

The new battery swapping technology enables a complete battery swap in under 40 seconds, making electric vehicle energy replenishment comparable to conventional refueling methods. “Reducing battery transition time to under 40 seconds makes EV energy replenishment comparable to conventional refueling,” said the CEO and Founder of InfinityX Innovations.

This initiative is expected to contribute to the development of a standardized and interoperable battery swapping network across India. Observers note that such advancements are critical for the growth of the country’s electric mobility ecosystem. “Accelerating the deployment of efficient and scalable charging alternatives is critical for the growth of India’s electric mobility ecosystem,” stated Shri Rajesh Kumar Pathak, Secretary of TDB.

<pIn addition to technological advancements, the Telangana government is offering discounts of up to 20% on electric two- and four-wheelers for state government employees. This first-of-its-kind initiative could translate into savings of up to Rs 4 lakh per employee for around 5 lakh government employees across the state.

As the electric vehicle market continues to expand, Germany and France reported BEV market shares of 22% and 27% respectively in early 2026, while Denmark saw a remarkable increase of 17 percentage points in its BEV market share compared to the previous year.

With these developments, Telangana is positioning itself as a leader in the electric vehicle sector, but the full impact of these initiatives remains to be seen. Details remain unconfirmed regarding the timeline for the rollout of the battery swapping stations and the uptake of the discount program by government employees.
