The Honda City facelift is intended to keep the existing model fresh until the next-generation model arrives in 2028. Recently, the 2027 Honda City facelift was spotted testing in Brazil, sparking excitement among fans and potential buyers.
Set to launch in India before Diwali 2026, the facelift promises several updates. It will feature a revised grille, new bumpers, and updated headlamps, enhancing its visual appeal against competitors like the Hyundai Verna and Skoda Slavia.
Under the hood, the engine lineup remains unchanged, continuing with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated i-VTEC petrol engine. This engine produces around 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque, ensuring reliable performance.
Pricing for the facelift is expected to see a slight increase, starting around ₹12 lakh. The hybrid variant is projected to be priced between ₹18–20 lakh, appealing to eco-conscious consumers.
In terms of technology, the facelift will include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Level 2 ADAS, bringing modern features to the forefront.
Mileage figures are anticipated to remain similar to the current model, with the petrol manual variant delivering around 17–18 kmpl. Additionally, the updated model will comply with E20 fuel compatibility and BS6 emission norms.
While the Brazilian version is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2026, details remain unconfirmed regarding the exact launch date in India and specific feature additions.
As anticipation builds, observers are keen to see how the facelift will compete in a crowded market, especially against rivals like the Volkswagen Virtus.
