24: Media Strategies Workshop Enhances Communication

“IMPCC plays a pivotal role in facilitating the government communication in a coordinated manner,” said Smita Vats Sharma, Director General of the West Zone at the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

On March 24, 2026, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) Nagpur hosted an Inter Media Publicity and Coordination Committee (IMPCC) workshop focused on “Media and Communication Strategies to Enhance Organizational Outreach.” The event saw participation from over 40 Central Government institutions, all aiming to bolster communication within the public sector.

Held at the Chitinvis Center in Civil Lines, the workshop emphasized the importance of effective media strategies in improving governmental outreach. Smita Vats Sharma urged organizations to share updates with the PIB to enhance their media presence.

The PIB has been instrumental in facilitating media visits from other states, showcasing Maharashtra’s development projects and achievements. This initiative aims to highlight the state’s progress and foster better communication with the public.

In a related legal context, the Allahabad High Court recently ruled on a case regarding procedural notice in court transfers, stating, “The absence of prior notice under Section 24, by itself, does not vitiate the order of transfer in the absence of demonstrable prejudice.” This ruling underscores the importance of procedural integrity in legal matters.

As the workshop concluded, participants expressed optimism about the potential improvements in communication strategies across government agencies. The next steps involve implementing the strategies discussed and monitoring their effectiveness in enhancing outreach.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding any specific follow-up actions or additional workshops planned in the near future.
