Gujarat Titans Gear Up for IPL 2026 Season

The Gujarat Titans will kick off their IPL 2026 campaign against the Punjab Kings on March 31 in Mullanpur. This highly anticipated match marks the beginning of a season filled with promise for the Titans.

Following their opener, the Titans will host their first home match on April 4 against the Rajasthan Royals. They will then travel to Delhi to face the Delhi Capitals on April 8, and head to Lucknow to take on the Lucknow Super Giants on April 12.

Head coach Sanjay Bangar has outlined potential strategies for the team, emphasizing the importance of a balanced approach. “We hope Shahrukh Khan repays the faith shown by the GT management in him,” Bangar stated, highlighting the team’s commitment to its core players.

Key players retained include Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan, while Washington Sundar is expected to take on a crucial batting role, possibly at number four in the order. Bangar mentioned, “If both Tewatia and Shahrukh play, one could be used as an impact player.”

With Jos Buttler leading the batting lineup, and Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada as the main bowlers, the Titans are looking to strike a balance between batting strength and bowling prowess.

Additionally, Glenn Phillips is set to enhance the middle-order batting, creating a formidable lineup. Bangar noted, “With Buttler at the top, Phillips in the middle, and Khan and Rabada as main bowlers, it is a good mix of overseas players.”

The franchise is also launching the Titans Fifer, a season-long activation for fans to predict game scenarios during the TATA IPL 2026. Participants can earn 100 GT Points for generating a ticket.

As the season approaches, excitement builds among fans and players alike. Details remain unconfirmed regarding the final playing XI, but anticipation is high for the Titans’ performance this season.

With the IPL 2026 season just around the corner, the Gujarat Titans are poised to make a significant impact on the tournament.
