Growing up in Borgaon, Madhya Pradesh, Mangesh’s journey began in a modest courtyard where he first picked up a cricket ball. His father, Ramavadh Yadav, a truck driver, worked tirelessly to support his son’s dreams, even when financial hardships loomed large. “I had to struggle a lot for money. Sometimes I couldn’t sleep at night, thinking about how I would raise money for him,” Ramavadh shared, reflecting on the challenges they faced.

Phool Chand Sharma recalled the early days of Mangesh’s training, saying, “Mangesh was staying with someone in Delhi.
