Tirumala

TTD has implemented extensive measures to provide relief from the heat for pilgrims visiting Tirumala. These improvements come as the summer rush begins, increasing the number of visitors to the Tirumala temple.

Key enhancements:

  • TTD has spent approximately two crore rupees to improve facilities.
  • Shaded shelters have been arranged from Batagangamma Circle to Gogarbham Dam Circle up to the Outer Ring Road.
  • Mobile water drums have been arranged to provide drinking water.
  • There are a total of 16 medical centers available for pilgrims.
  • TTD has made an additional 3.50 lakh laddus available during this period.
  • Accommodation is prioritized for families, while solo pilgrims are not allocated rooms.
  • 11 mini Kalyana Kattas are available in various rest houses.
  • A total of 1,152 barbers, including 269 women, are providing services.

The number of lockers available for pilgrims is set at 9,000. TTD’s efforts aim to enhance overall pilgrim services at the temple. The summer rush typically sees high footfall, making these improvements essential.
