Ashok Kharat, a self-styled godman and former Merchant Navy officer, has been arrested by the Nashik Crime Branch amid shocking allegations of rape and extortion. The case has gained traction following the discovery of 58 videos involving women on a pen drive linked to Kharat.
Authorities have registered eight FIRs against him, with accusations ranging from rape to the circulation of obscene material. Kharat reportedly used intoxicants and psychological manipulation to exploit his victims, raising serious concerns about his methods.
In a disturbing twist, hidden CCTV cameras were found in Kharat’s office, which recorded acts without consent. This revelation has left many questioning the extent of his alleged crimes.
The Maharashtra government has responded by establishing a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the case further. Officials are taking the matter seriously, with Devendra Fadnavis stating, “A total of eight FIRs have been filed against Kharat.” He also noted that one witness feared for his life due to Kharat’s influence.
Anil Thatte, a prominent figure in the unfolding drama, posted a viral video discussing the potential HIV status of Kharat, further fueling public interest and concern. He remarked, “Satyanash…whatever the police are investigating, a horrible medical report has appeared.”
Details remain unconfirmed regarding the exact number of victims, but estimates suggest that around 1,000 women may have been victimized by Kharat.
As the investigation unfolds, observers are keenly watching how the authorities will handle the case and what further revelations may come to light.
