Ayodhya Ram Mandir Set for Grand Ram Navami Celebration

Will the Ayodhya Ram Mandir see a record turnout for Ram Navami in 2026? Yes, with an estimated 100,000 devotees expected to flock to the temple on March 27, the celebrations promise to be monumental.

On this auspicious day, the Surya Tilak ceremony will take place at precisely 12:00 PM, allowing sunlight to grace the Ram Lalla idol for four minutes. This moment is highly anticipated among devotees, marking a significant spiritual event.

To manage the expected crowd, the temple trust has suspended VIP darshan, ensuring that all visitors can partake in the festivities. Devotees will be allowed to visit the temple during designated time slots: 07:00 AM to 09:00 AM, 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM, and 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM.

Ayodhya is being adorned with lights, flowers, saffron flags, rangoli, and earthen diyas, creating a vibrant atmosphere for the celebrations. The Mangal Aarti will commence at 04:30 AM, followed by the Shringar Aarti at 06:30 AM and the Shayan Aarti at 09:30 PM.

Ram Navami, observed on the Navami tithi of Shukla Paksha in Chaitra month, commemorates the birth of Lord Shri Ram, who is believed to have been born in Ayodhya to King Dashrath and Queen Kaushalya.

Mahant Sitaram Das emphasized that “Devotion to Lord Ram should rise above political positioning,” highlighting the spiritual essence of the event. Meanwhile, Iqbal Ansari noted, “Ayodhya is a place of faith that connects people across communities.””>

As the day approaches, the excitement builds, but questions linger about how the temple will manage the influx of visitors. Details remain unconfirmed.

With ceremonies broadcasted live on screens across Ayodhya, those unable to attend in person can still partake in the celebrations from afar. This year’s Ram Navami is set to be a unifying event, drawing devotees from all walks of life.
