BJP’s sweeping victory in the Gujarat local body elections underscores its continued dominance across both urban and rural regions. The party has taken a lead, winning over 3,750 seats so far out of more than 9,200 seats contested.

The elections covered a broad spectrum: 15 municipal corporations, 84 municipalities, 34 district panchayats, and 260 taluka panchayats. The BJP dominated urban bodies, crossing the 50% mark in each municipal corporation.
The Aam Aadmi Party registered limited success, winning a handful of seats. This reflects ongoing challenges for AAP in establishing a foothold in Gujarat politics.
