TTD Donations Spark Controversy in Tirupati

A significant donation of Rs 1 crore from Chennai-based Subbarow Apparels to the TTD Sri Balaji Arogya Varaprasadini scheme has been overshadowed by controversy surrounding B.R. Naidu, the TTD Chairman. This donation aims to enhance medical facilities and acquire advanced equipment for underprivileged patients at the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS).

The cheque was handed over to TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, marking a crucial step in TTD’s commitment to providing top-quality medical services. However, the positive impact of this donation is being marred by allegations against B.R. Naidu.

Bhumana Karunakar Reddy has publicly criticized Naidu, calling for his immediate removal due to accusations of misusing VIP darshan privileges for political gain. Reddy stated, “B.R. Naidu must be immediately removed for his ‘indecent and disgraceful actions.'” This has raised concerns about TTD’s reputation and integrity.

Reddy further accused Naidu of undermining the contributions of officials involved in the project, asserting that Chandrababu Naidu is falsely claiming credit while sidelining those who worked diligently.

The controversy comes at a time when TTD is expanding its role beyond spiritual services, actively supporting education, healthcare, and social welfare programs. The donation from Subbarow Apparels is a testament to this commitment, yet the internal strife threatens to derail these efforts.

As the Jubilee Hills Society elections approach on April 5, the political implications of this controversy may intensify. The scrutiny on B.R. Naidu’s actions could lead to further developments in the coming weeks.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding the potential fallout from this situation, but the public and stakeholders are watching closely as TTD navigates these challenges.
