CBSE has adopted a new On-Screen Marking system for the first time in 2026, aiming to improve transparency and efficiency in the evaluation process. The CBSE Class 12 Result is expected to be declared on May 23, 2026. Over 18 lakh students are waiting for their results.
The Class 12 board examinations began on February 17, 2026. Results will be available on cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, DigiLocker, and the UMANG app. A minimum of 33% marks in each subject is required to pass the examination.
CBSE has confirmed that the evaluation process is running smoothly and efficiently. Sanyam Bhardwaj stated, “My evaluation is going very perfectly, better than the previous evaluation.” He refuted claims made by some media outlets regarding issues in the process.
No press conference will be held to announce the results. Students should download and save a digital copy from DigiLocker after checking their results. They should collect their original marksheet from their school when it becomes available.
Students are encouraged to begin researching colleges and completing admission forms. CBSE typically releases results approximately five to six weeks after the final examination concludes.
