Sanjay Raut, a leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), has raised alarms about the integrity of the electoral process in West Bengal. He linked potential vote tampering to the influence of BJP and the Election Commission.
Raut expressed concern over growing distrust in democracy. He stated, “Distrust on democracy is dangerous, people are worried about their votes being tampered since Modi, Shah, and EC chief are in power.”
Mamata Banerjee visited an EVM strong room before the assembly election results were announced. This has fueled suspicions regarding the electoral process.
Raut criticized Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar for perceived bias towards BJP. He mentioned that large forces present during elections in West Bengal are concerning.
Banerjee has called for vigilance with her slogan “Jagate Raho,” echoing sentiments similar to those of Akhilesh Yadav.
Political activity has intensified ahead of the assembly election results. Observers note that these concerns may impact public confidence in upcoming elections.
