CUET UG City Intimation Slip Sparks Student Outrage

The release of the CUET UG City Intimation Slip on April 29, 2026, has caused uproar among students in India. Many candidates received assignments to distant exam cities, which has raised concerns about travel costs and preparation stress.

The CUET UG exam will occur from May 11 to May 31, 2026. Candidates can download their city intimation slip from cuet.nta.nic.in. This slip helps candidates plan their travel and logistics ahead of the exam.

However, it is not an admit card and does not grant entry to the exam hall. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the CUET UG in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across multiple shifts.

Students have voiced their frustrations over being assigned distant examination cities. These assignments pose financial burdens and logistical challenges for many candidates.

The NTA has stated it will not entertain requests for rescheduling exam dates or shifts. This decision adds to the anxiety surrounding travel arrangements for students.

One anonymous candidate expressed concern, saying, “I don’t know how a poor student like me will manage the expenses, especially in this extreme heat.” The logistical burden is weighing heavily on many students as they prepare for the upcoming exam.

Experts emphasize that the city intimation slip plays a key role in helping students avoid last-minute confusion. With 280 cities selected for CUET UG 2026, candidates had previously chosen 4 locations during their application process.

The situation highlights significant disparities in access to education resources and support for students across India. As the exam dates approach, many candidates remain anxious about their travel plans and overall readiness.
